Could He Not? Would He Not? Week - One

his powerful message invites us into a profound question that challenges the core of our faith: Could He not? Would He not? Drawing from Luke 24 and the resurrection account, we're reminded that the empty tomb isn't just ancient history, it's a living testimony that demands our response today. The women who went to the tomb discovered something revolutionary: Jesus had risen, just as He said He would. Yet when they shared this miraculous news, the disciples dismissed it as an 'idle tale.' How often do we do the same? We hear God's promises, we know His Word, but when faced with our own impossible situations, whether it's a struggling marriage, rebellious children, financial crisis, or health diagnosis, we forget to remember what God has already done. The call here is urgent: don't neglect to remember. We cannot recall what we don't know, which means immersing ourselves in Scripture isn't optional, it's essential. When life's storms hit, we need a biblical worldview, not a news cycle worldview. The testimonies shared from miraculous pregnancies to healed bodies to restored hope, remind us that God is still in the miracle business. But here's the mature truth we must embrace: we need both knowledge of God AND experience with God. Faith without the Word leads to spiritual immaturity; Word without faith-filled expectation robs us of testimonies that strengthen others. Like Peter, we must rise and run toward what God is doing, even when others remain skeptical. Our faith isn't just for our benefit, it's the fuel that draws the lost to salvation and proves Jesus is who He says He is.
