The Chase Is On - Week Two
This powerful message invites us into a deeper pursuit of God through the story of the paralytic in Luke 5. We witness four friends who refused to let obstacles stand between their friend and Jesus, they literally dug through a roof to lower him into the presence of the Healer. This incredible act of faith challenges us to examine our own spiritual hunger: Are we treating the obstacles in our lives as excuses, or as opportunities to press deeper into God's presence? The message reminds us that everything competes for our attention in this noisy world, but we must be intentional about chasing after the Lord. Through disciplines like prayer, fasting, worship, and community, we position ourselves to receive more of God. The sermon emphasizes that we don't chase God to get things from Him, but to be with Him and in that relationship, transformation happens. When we want more of God, we become desperate for Him, and that desperation creates the passion and desire that moves us past every barrier. The question becomes deeply personal: What are we willing to give not to get from God, but simply to be with God?
